Working for Interplay Learning has been an enabler for me and my family. The flexibility of a remote work environment and Interplay’s core values focusing on quality of life are something rarely found in a job. The people that work here are passionate about what they do and genuinely enjoy “coming” to work. It is hard to believe that a remote company with employees all over the world could function as well as it does at Interplay.
My favorite thing about working at Interplay are my coworkers. I’ve never worked with a smarter, more passionate group of people. Their talent is inspiring and pushes me to be a better developer. Plus we know how to have a good time!
True story. When the principals at Interplay were talking to solar companies to assess if there was interest in simulation-based training for that field, I decided I was interested in joining Interplay! It seemed like a perfect trajectory for my career, having done traditional instructor-led hands-on technical solar training for years. I had already become fascinated by the idea of simulations to allow technicians to explore houses in 3D on computers in ways I could never do in a classroom or lab.
Working at Interplay has not only allowed me to grow exponentially in my career but I finally have the work-life balance that I've always wanted. Every day I'm challenged to bring my A-Game. I have the pleasure to work with some incredibly talented individuals that make this culture second to none.
Interplay helped me cultivate my skills as an engineer, building Skillmill (proprietary programming) was one of the most exciting and growth promoting exercises of my career. Working in simulation design requires the input and integration of people across several disciplines, this has taught countless things about working in diverse and interesting teams. Every day brings new problems that challenge me to learn, adapt, and grow.
