Interplay Learning Partners with HTC to Bring VR on the Road

Interplay and HTC Roadshow VR In Action

The duo journeys across America to perform an educational VR Roadshow.

Interplay Learning is revolutionizing the way companies train their employees. To spread awareness of the impact Virtual Reality will have on training techniques for the skilled trades industries and for the Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Cooling (HVAC) industry specifically, Interplay Learning partnered with HTC Vive to host a multi-city interactive roadshow.

The team hosted four events, visited three cities, and invited members to engage in the virtual reality simulations. The roadshow began in Austin, TX at Carrier Distributors West Zone Service Managers Meeting. Thirty-one Service Managers from nine distributors gathered alongside their corporate representatives to participate in training activities. From Austin, the roadshow traveled to Atlanta, GA for Mingledorff’s Fall Service Update. Mingledorff’s is the 7th largest distributor of HVACR equipment in the US, dominating the Southeast region.  More than 50 HVACR technicians, installers, managers, and company owners from over 22 HVACR service firms got to experience first-hand what VR training could do for them. Finally, the roadshow headed west to Los Angeles, CA for an Energy Construction & Utilities Faculty Workshop, where more than 30 trades educators participated.

The roadshow demonstrated the potential that Virtual Reality simulations have on the Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning, and Cooling (HVAC) industry.  Interplay Learning will be hosting similar events throughout 2018 to expand users knowledge of the opportunities available. With HTC Vive as a partner, Interplay Learning will continue to disrupt the training model.
